It is a charity effort. Your unfinished PROJECT IN
A GROCERY SACK (a.k.a. pigs) are given away! You offer on the list your unfinished pig, and someone else kindly
adopts your pig. Then she finishes the pig in any manner she wishes, and donates it to charity. Scraps are not
returned, as it necessitates too much mailing back and forth. For your convenience in choosing, charities that
take quilts (many are for childrens'charities) will be listed on Stashbuster as the information evolves. Miss Piggy is Chris McCracken, and you can email her with questions. She keeps two databases. One with your private info, so she keeps track
of who mails what where, and one with public info, so you all can see what projects are in the works.

Deadline for sending your quilt to your charity? This
is always going to be three months from when the current swap has been announced. April first, July first, September
first, December first. If you have not let Miss Piggy know that your quilt is finished and sent, then she will call
you and ask about this. Often people do finish their pigs and send them on, but forget to update the information, so
a quick phone call just clarifies where things stand.

What does my pig package have to include, that I send to the
finisher? You and the sewer discuss this. You post to the list what you have to give away, and to what degree
it is finished, and what materials you wish to give with it, such as binding and batting, borders, and sew on. Once
your finisher accepts your pig, then you both get in touch with Miss Piggy, who puts you both into her database.

Well, should I sew a pig up, or should I donate a pig to a sewer? I can't decide! I have lots of pigs, that's
for sure! --Well, you can be a sewer, or you can be a pig thrower (yes, pigs can fly) or you can even be BOTH!
Maybe you wish to donate some fabric you think a pig finisher can use. One of our sewers has put to very clever use
those vest panels that have sewing lines for cutting out a vest--she has fussy cut out the figures and appliqued them onto
a charming quilt. So you see, even odd stuff can be donated.
Remember, if you have questions,
email Miss Piggy, using the link above, where you see her name underlined.
